Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

O : 

This verse tells be have a strong faith with God. I do not need to be afraid of others because God will always be with you. When you accepted God as your Lord and decided to walk with him, He will never ever leave you or forsake you. Because your are his precious child. When you are in trouble, He will be there and guide you. Do not Give up one him when times are hard. Have a strong faith in him.

A :

I will not be afraid of others because I know God is with me.

No matter what happens, I will walk with him faithfully and give my plans to him. For he will plan my future. I have to give my heart to him, then he can soften my heart. I will always remind myself that I am the son of God !

P :

God, I pray that you will bless me the strong faith in me, to walk with you forever. Cast out all my worries and things that hunt me. Thank you God for what you have done in my life and others.

               Proverbs 31:8-9

     Open your mouth for the mute,
  For the rights of all the unfortunate.

      Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And defend the rights of the afflicted and              needy.

O :

This is saying to speak up for those who, for one reason or another, cannot speak for themselves.
Don't just stand there and let them be punished, because they are unable to defend themselves. Speak up for the poor and needy, especially those who are ruined by their condition of weakness.

A :

When you someone in need do offer a hand to help. When you see that the situation is wrong, do step forward and do the right thing. For example, if one got bully get up and fixed the problem. ( no fighting involve). There's a tv show in America called what would you do? (WWYD) . Its hard for me the explain this show. So I ask you to YouTube it.

P :

Dear God, I pray that you will give me the courage to speak up for the poor and needy.
Thank you God for helping when I'm weak. Its my turn to help those who are in need.

Proverbs 30:9

That I not be full and deny You and say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or that I not be in want and steal,
And profane the name of my God.

O : 

This verse tells me that We pray is not to be poor or rich. We usually find it easier to seek the Lord when we have needs in our life. Sometimes the wealthy feel so self-sufficient that we do not seek God.

This is one of a question reflecting extreme arrogance, "Who is the Almighty, that we should serve Him?"

The very poor sometime turn their back on God, because they feel He doesn't love them, and they steal and curse to drag themselves out of poverty.

A :

I do not need to worry for my future because God will provide my everything I need and God has a plan for me.

I must seek God everyday and not because what you want. Seek him because you want him in your life, He is your King and you fear and love him. 

If I'm rich , I will continue seeking for God and praying because I am really thirsty for him. You do not need to be rich or poor to seek God. I can seek Him every single day and every moment. I will seek him for I am happy,sad...

God I pray that I will always seek you every single time. 

I pray that you will bless my family and friends and those who really need you right now.

I really thank God for placing me in VIC. I got to knew people from all walks of life, people who love God. These people are amazing and I really love them. I want to continue have this fellowship with them and God.

Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man [a]brings a snare,

But he who trusts in the Lord will be exalted.

O : 

Fear of is lack of faith. If we have faith in Lord, we have nothing to fear. To fear man and what he can do to us is sin. Trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and He shall give us peace and rest. 

A :

Ever since I trusted God, I have nothing to fear.

I do not need to fear the future because God has a plan for me.

I do not need to fear supernatural beings or things because God is there to protect me.

I do not need to fear man because God is there for me.

I will trust God with all my heart and my life, and this way he will give me the peace and the rest I want.

In God I trust !

Dear God,

I pray that I will only fear you and not other man or things.

To fear you is to love you. 

Cast away all evil and sins from me.

I pray that you will take away my fear for other things and give me the peace i want.

Proverbs 28:13

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion

Proverbs 28:14

How blessed is the man who fears always,
But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity

O :

Sin must not be hidden but confessed.

In John 1:8-9, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

If we conceal our sins, God will not forgive them. God has mercy on whom He will. He loves us and forgives us if we confess and ask forgiveness. 

Hardening is speaking of spiritual hardening of the heart. This is refusal to repent and accept God's pardon of sin through Jesus Christ. To reject God's offer to forgiveness and cling to one's sin is to accumulate more of God's wrath and earn a server judgment.

If we harden our heart to God, it opens the door to Satan and all of his evil.

A :

Humans are born to sin.

Every time if I sin, I will pray to God and repent. Asking God to forgive my sins. Jesus who washes away my Sins. I will not hide my Sins but to reveal and ask forgiveness. When I carry these sins, I feel very guilty and unhappy causing trouble in my life. But if I confess and repent, I felt more ease and happy because I know Jesus has sacrifice himself to wash away my sins.

Jesus Christ is my saviour. 

Before I accepted Christ, my heart is hard.

I do many sinful stuffs and do not repent. eg. Anger, temptation etc.

But Now I accepted Christ, my heart is soft , letting Jesus into my heart because I am thirsty for him. He forgives my sins if I repent.

P :

God I pray that you will soften my heart each day. Letting Jesus follow in to my heart and my body and my soul. 

    Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Proverbs 28:8

He who increases his wealth by interest and usury
Gathers it for him who is gracious to the poor.

O : 

God blesses those who help others. Give and it shall be given to you. Unjust gain is any worth a man gets unfairly. Sometimes it is legal but not moral. Many times it is against the law as well God will not bless those who take advantage of others.

A:

When I see anybody needs help , I can offer a hand.

Do it with my heart and passion.

Helping others is a good way that God teaches us.  

In Chinese saying 助人为快乐之本.

Tells me that when I help people , you will feel happy.

This way God will bless you because you help others.

P :

God let this verse sink into my heart.

Proverbs 27:6

Faithful are the wounds of a friend,
But [a]deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.

O :

A friend who give true criticism may hurt for a time, for it issues from his love.

whereas the kisses of an enemy are attempt to conceal his hatred.

When a true friend wounds you for the moment, it is to help you in the long run. Constructive criticism is good as it helps you to improve.

However, an enemy that flatters you with his lips is trying to maneuver you to his advantage. He want something from you and you will give  him whatever it is that he wants.

A :

Friends who hurt me because they care. They want me to change. They are in my life to help me improve and not to destroy me. Even though their words can be very hurtful I have to forgive them. This is because God tells us to forgive yourself and others. I have wonderful friends in my life right now who help me along this journey. These people are faithful friends that I will treasure always.

However, those who flatters me are people who always want something from me. But, I will forgive them because I have to love my enemy.

God has place these people in my life for a reason. Thus, I have to accept it and deal with it and to choose wisely. 

P :

Dear God, 

I prayed that you forgive my sins and forgive others who sins against me.

Thank you God for teaching to love my neighbors, friends and enemy.

With love anything could happen.

Do not be envious of evil men,
Nor desire to be with them;

Proverbs 24:2

For their [a]minds devise violence,
And their lips talk of trouble.

O :

We see that we are not to want the way of the evil man. Fellowship with evil brings us guilt of their sins. Their ways are wicked ways.

Their desires are to destroy someone else and build themselves up by the hurt of others. They speak slanders and lies. Stay away from them before we learn their evil ways.

A :

I must always stay away from the evil and not even think about to join them.

Instead of Evil, Why not look at God ? and follow him. GOD is GOOD. God teaches the righteousness while Evil teaches the wicked. Thus, we must do good and this way God will reward us in many ways. Follow his commandments and do it. 

P :

God, I pray that you will give me wisdom to follow and walk with you always.

Please forgive my sins and forgive those who sins against me.

Thank you Lord, for guiding me through this life.

Let these verses stuck it in my heart.

Proverbs 23:17

Do not let your heart envy sinners,
But live in the [a]fear of the Lord [b]always.

Proverbs 23:18

Surely there is a [a]future,
And your hope will not be cut off.

O: 

In life, We can see that some sinners seem to be prospering in this world. We are not to envy them or their evil ways. Never look longingly at what they are doing.

Anyone who might envy sinners needs to know that their prosperity will last for a short while. 

We must keep our eyes on God and his teaching all the way.

Never let our eyes off the path of righteousness. Righteous living sometimes in life seems not to be noticed by anyone. There is an end. The end is heaven, If you stay on the path that leads to God. The righteous will live forever.

A :

I should not envy successful people that sin and doing evil ways and do not repent. For example, Pop stars. Some of them worship Satan to make them famous. Thus, We should not envy them because it is the wrong way.

Only God who is heaven is able to give you everything if you ask.

God has a plan for me, MY FUTURE is in God's Hand.

When God comes in to your life, there will be Good and Light.

where there will be less Evil and Darkness.

God brings Hope and Love for everyone who trust and have faith in him.

Those who seek evil while not last.

But those who seek God while last forever and ever.

My ending will be in Heaven with God.

P : 

God, I pray that you will give me wisdom to know whether this is Good or Evil. I want to follow your path , the righteous path. Come spirit, Lead me ! I need you JESUS ! Show me the path. Thank you God for letting me not to envy these evil but to love, fear and respect you. God I LOVE YOU DEEPLY.

Proverbs 23:9 

Do not speak in the [h]hearing of a fool,
For he will despise the wisdom of your words. 

O :  

This verse tells me that We are our time to speak to a fool. This is because fools hate wisdom. A fool that is not interested in learning anything. He will think that we are just trying to act smart, and instead of appreciating us talking to him, it will make him angry. 

A :

There is time when people despised your words of God. They will try to find evidence that God is not real. Thus, we must build a strong foundation with God so that these fools would not turn us against God. If we speak wisdom to them, it will make him more angry. If I really want good for the person to follow God, I will pray for him instead of preaching him. This way we would not offend each other.

P :

God I pray that you will show the light to those who have not followed you. Bring them out from the darkness that was blinded by the Devils. I pray that you will help those who are in need. I pray that you will make me as a tool to spread your wisdom and your words. In the name of Jesus, I pray.

Proverbs 21:2

A person may think their own ways are right,
    but the Lord weighs the heart.

O:

This verse tells me that man can be self-deceived, God determines his true motives. God judges the intents of the heart. The heart is the center of our being, and actually controls what we are. It is either desperately wicked, or it is pure. There is no in between. God looks on the heart. The source of what we are.

A:

I must follow Jesus and God with my heart. Jesus and God sees your heart. Trust him faithfully. Even though we might be correct but  we still need to follow the commandments that was given by the lord. GOD sees my heart and not my appearance. 

P:

Dear God, I pray that you will strengthen me so that I can follow you faithfully. God wash away my sins so my heart will be pure and beautiful. Thank you God for washing away my sins making my heart pure. In the name of Jesus, I pray.

              Proverbs 20:24
  Man's steps are ordained by the Lord,
  How then can man understand his way?

O :

We must have a constant dependence upon God. However it may not look like it, God is still in control of all things: He only permits evil insofar as it will glorify Him, and all other evil He restrains. For man to be on the winning side, and where blessings are, he must submit himself to the Lord’s will to be willingly directed by Him.

A: 

I pray to him because I need God.
I depend on God.  Only him I'm saved. With him, I'm winning. All my blessing came from God who is in the heaven. I always put God first and put faith in him. This way God will guide me through these life's obstacles. I am thirsty for him. Jesus is centre of my life.

P:

God, I pray that I will walk with you forever. Lord, I pray that you cast out all temptation and sins in me, so that I can walk with you faithfully. Forgive my sins as we forgive  those who sins against us. In the name of Jesus,  I pray.

Proverbs 19:23

The fear of the Lord leads to life;
    then one rests content, untouched by trouble.

O: 

If a person fears the Lord, he is conscious that there is a Lord. For us to be saved, We must first believe that there is a Lord. We must believe that He died for us and we must believe that He rose again. If we believe all of the above, then we want to rise from death to life.

If we are assured in our heart that we will live again with the Lord, we should be completely satisfied.

If we keep our minds on this, We will not even be tempted with evil. We will have overcome evil with good.

A: 

Everyday in the morning I pray to God because I know and strongly believe that there is God.

He who is the one who saved us.

I fear him because I want to love him and treat him as my Father and to obey him.

When I sin, I will confess and repent because I know Jesus will take away my sin. So that I would not be troubled my sins and feel guilty and cannot forgive myself.

God teaches us to forgive ourselves and others. 

In this way, We will be untouched by the evil and walk peacefully with God.

P:

God, I pray that you will guide me. Let the Spirit led me and bring me closer to you Lord.  I pray that you will make my Faith even stronger and walk with you with fear and love. My soul will rest in your embrace and always be with you.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

O :

This verse tells me that a man must take consequences for his words whether be it good or evil.

A:

1) I will think before I speak.
2) I will not talk back at people.
3) I will not insult.
4) I will spread the word of God & not evil.
5) I will spread the mouth of love, not hate.
6) I will not hurt people feelings.

P:

God I pray that you will stay in my heart to choose the right words to speak. In this way, I will not hurt others and I can spread the word of love.

Proverbs 18:1

An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends
    and against all sound judgment starts quarrels.

O :   

This verse refers to a man who seeks selfish gratification and accepts advice from no one. The bible says if you want wisdom to pray and God will give you wisdom. When we pray, We need to separate ourselves and pray to seek wisdom. 

One problem in communicating with God is that we don't want to separate ourselves and think on the things God and pray, but we will get answers for our prayers and we will receive wisdom in the process.

A: 

I have separate myself from my world and give it all to God and pray with all my heart. I should not seek anything just from my own pleasure. I need to learn to be resilience and not to be selfish.

P:

God , I pray that you will give me the wisdom to not become a selfish person but a wise and righteousness person. Thank you Lord for giving me the wisdom to differentiate between Good and Evil.

Proverbs 15:33

33 

Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord,

    and humility comes before honor.

O :

This verse tells me that humility is very important. We must walk humbly before God. The honor must come from God and not from man. If we fear God, We will follow in his ways. We will study his word and know what His will is for our life.

If we fear God, our desire will be to please him. This fear is the Love of God and to respect him and do everything we can do to obey His commandments and things He has told us to do through Jesus. 

A:

I have promised myself that I want to walk with God forever. Thus, I have to throw away my bad habits and walk humbly before God. My fear for you is Love, a fatherly Love. Sometimes, I do fear my parents. This fear is to obey my parents and to love them. Similarly, I fear God because I want to obey and to Love him.

P:

Lord, Sometime it is hard for me to fear you. I'm too of myself and did not obey your words and in turn betrayed you. 

God, please forgive my sins and give me the strength not to turn against you. Let your fear filled my hearts and soul. So that I can fear you to obey you.

Jesus, take away my sins as you are the king of king who is able to do anything and everything.

Proverbs 15:1 

 A gentle answer turns away wrath,

    but a harsh word stirs up anger.

O:

It always takes two people to have an argument. This verse tells us that we must answer softly even if we are really angry. The worst thing we can do is frown and not talk. Perhaps, we should silently pray a few minutes and then answer quietly. Screaming never accomplishes anything. It just causes a fight.

Angry words bring angry words in return. The first thing you know, there are problems difficult to settle, because  everyone has said too too much. The best way is to stay calm and talk quietly.

A:

Every time if I face any argument, I will learn to swallow my anger and pray for peace to reply them with a gentle answer. I will need also to swallow my pride to say sorry too. It is hard to say sorry even though you are not at wrong. God teaches us to Forgive and Forget. 

Matthew 6:14

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,

Matthew 5:44 

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Next time when I face argument, I will remember these verse and remind myself not to get angry and use harsh word.
