Pick up your bed and walk !

Read John 5:1-15

In this story Jesus came to a man who had been at the same position for years and had given up on life.
Jesus asked him a simple question "Do you want to get well ?"
We have to make a decision.
We have to get up and say "enough is enough, I am better than this, I am beloved child of God, I am more than a conqueror, and it's time for me to get up and fight with every fiber of my being !"
When we have this attitude not only we will overcome our own difficulties, but God will open up new doors, show you His favour, and bring your dreams to pass.
Pick up your bed and walk !

Prayers

What kind of prayer ?

-Prayer taught by the Lord

Luke 11:1-4 NKJV
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.”

First and foremost prayer is about encountering God and growing in relationship in Him, and not just a place to get specific results.

It is also mean to connect with the Holy Spirit, who energizes us to love God.

The best thing all of us can do to improve ourselves, our lives and our relationship is to grow in prayer.

Always invite the Holy Spirit to guide us in our prayers.

Psalms 81:1-3
Releasing of the blessing.

Prayer is important
Ministry of prayer
Power of prayer
God does not work except Though the believing prayer of His people.
Prayer of faith
Our part is to pray and dont stop praying.
Pray for salvation.

Hudson Taylor
Moving man by God through prayer

Encountering God every moment of my life

I love encountering with God through worshiping, sermons and fellowship
And rejoicing!
I don't think I have ever felt more free to worship.
Through each sermon, worship and praying session, Jesus began to set me free.
He let me know that I am His beloved.

S:

Matthew 5:5New King James Version (NKJV)

Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.

O :
Meekness is humility toward God and toward others. It is having the right power to do something but refraining for the benefit of someone else.
Meekness models the humility of Jesus Christ.

A :

I have to be humble and gentle.
I must humble before the Lord.
At the same way, I must also be humble towards people.
Because Jesus model humility towards us.

P :

Thank You, Lord.

S:

Matthew 5:9New American Standard Bible (NASB)

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

O :

Jesus laid down His life to make peace between God and sinners, and when we can carry that message of peace to others, we are peacemakers.
Only children of God can bring the peace of knowing God to others.
Those who bring the wonderful message of God's peace to the world are "peacemakers," and Jesus calls them the "children of God."

A :

I have the spread the Gospel.
Bringing peace to the world.
Jesus is peace and I am a peacemaker.
I am child of God.
I will bring peace to the world.

P :
Lord, Please Help me.
Amen

Matthew 5:8New American Standard Bible (NASB)

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

O :
Pure in heart means to be clean, blameless, unstained from guilt.
Being pure in heart involves having a singleness of heart toward God. A pure heart has no hypocrisy, no guile, no hidden motives. The pure heart is marked by transparency and an uncompromising desire to please God in all things. It is more than an external purity of behavior; it is an internal purity of soul.

A :
I have to have a pure, clean heart.
God sees our heart.
If my heart is dirty, hurt, and etc
I have to ask God to heal them and cleanse my heart.
I will always ask God to help to build a pure and innocent heart that He wants.

P :

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your blessing that You have given me.
Holy Spirit come and dwell in heart and make it clean.
Father I will always fight for Your righteousness.
But, You have to help me In many areas.
Help me to be like Jesus.

Temple of the Holy Spirit

S :

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NASB
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

O :

We must guard our heart so that we can protect and maintain our body for the Holy Spirit to dwell in.

A :

Read the Bible.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guard my heart.
Cleanse and make it Holy.

P:

Thank You Lord.

Poor spirit.

S :

Matthew 5:3 NASB
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

O :

When Jesus says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of He is declaring that, before we ca heaven,” n enter God’s kingdom, we must recognize the utter worthlessness of our own spiritual currency and the inability of our own works to save us.

A :

I have to confess that I am worthless of my own spiritual currency and the inability of my own works to save myself.

I have to confess the Jesus Christ is Lord.
Only He can save me, and He will give me the spiritual needs.

I am empty without Jesus.
I am nothing without Jesus.
I am worthless without Jesus.

With Jesus,  I am filled with love.
With Jesus, I am sin free.
With Jesus , I am blessed.
With Jesus, I am beloved son of God.
With Jesus,  He is my saviour !

P :
Dear heavenly Father ,
Thank You for all your blessing.
Amen !

Vengeance

S :

Matthew 5:38-42 NASB

"You have heard that it was said, 'A n eye for an eye , and a tooth for a tooth .'  But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.  If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also.  Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.  Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
We are not to seek retribution, not to demand recompense for wrongs done to us. Rather, Jesus taught that as His followers we are to ignore all personal insults, which is the meaning of turning the other cheek. Christians are to give more of material goods, time, or labor than demanded of us, even if the demands are wrongful; to loan to those who want to borrow; to love our enemies; and to pray for those who persecute us.

A :

Jesus has taught me that if my enemies try to backstab me, I should let the enemies do it.
But, I did tell myself, how am I supposed to not get revenged?

Romans 12:19-21 NASB
Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine , I will repay ," says the Lord. "But if your enemy is hungry , feed him , and  if he is thirsty , give him a drink ; for in so doing you  will heap burning coals on his head ." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

For God is always with me, He will help me to take vengeance.
Jesus has taught me to love my enemies, for one day they will see the chirst in us and change.

How do I apply to my daily life ?

If people insult me, I just take it as a compliment. And do not say them back.
I will tell myself   " it's okay, God will be with you. Just focus on Jesus."

For if they need my help, I am willing to help them. And not reject them.

P :
Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You will help me in time to get vengeance.
Lord, come and dwell in my heart and change it, so that people can see Christ in me.
Thank You Lord,
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !

Warnings, the coming

S :
Matthew 7:15-20 NASB

Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.  You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?  So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  So then, you will know them by their fruits.

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
Nothing so much prevents men from entering the strait gate, and becoming true followers of Christ, as the carnal, soothing, flattering doctrines of those who oppose the truth. They may be known by the drift and effects of their doctrines. Some part of their temper and conduct is contrary to the mind of Christ. Those opinions come not from God that lead to sin.

A :

God has given me a warning.
That the day might come,
False prophets start to preach wrongly and leads us all to hell.

Thus, bible is an important tool to equip us with word of God.

The Bible tell me that we will know these false prophets by their nature, because every right prophet will preach right things and every false prophet will preach wrong things.
I will able to identify both of the different prophets as I am equipped with word of God.

I have to always ask the Holy Spirit to guard my heart, making my heart soft and tender.
Always invite the Holy Spirit to dwell in us.

Before reading the Bible, I must pray to God for guidance and asking Him to help me to be equipped with His words.

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You will help me guide me through this season.
Help me to be prepared for Your coming.
Help me to be equipped with Your Words.
Come Holy Spirit,  dwell in my heart and make it soft and tender.
Lord, come and guide my path that You wants me to go.
Thank You Lord Jesus !
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !

S :
Matthew 6:1-4 (NASB)
Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.
“So when you [a]give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you [b]give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your [c]giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

O :
[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
Our Lord next warned against hypocrisy and outward show in religious duties. What we do, must be done from an inward principle, that we may be approved of God, not that we may be praised of men. In these verses we are cautioned against hypocrisy in giving alms. Take heed of it. It is a subtle sin; and vain-glory creeps into what we do, before we are aware. But the duty is not the less necessary and excellent for being abused by hypocrites to serve their pride. The doom Christ passes, at first may seem a promise, but it is their reward; not the reward God promises to those who do good, but the reward hypocrites promise themselves, and a poor reward it is; they did it to be seen of men, and they are seen of men. When we take least notice of our good deeds ourselves, God takes most notice of them. He will reward thee; not as a master who gives his servant what he earns, and no more, but as a Father who gives abundantly to his son that serves him.

A :

When I serve, I must serve with my heart to God.
When I give to poor, it is to glorify God and not myself.
When I do good, I should not do good for because I want to hear people to praise me,but to do the works of God.( Righteousness)
When I do good, there must be no motive.
God sees the heart, the inward principle. God doesn't see the outward doing.
I am not to be a hypocrite, God doesn't wants us to be that. God wants us to be pure and innocent and a heart of serving.
When we do the acts of God, doing His way, We are showing a Christ-like ( Jesus ) person to the world.
Through Christ, When I do the works of God, I must do to glorify God and show an example to the people around me. So  that people will see Christ in me.

P :
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that You will help me to renew my heart, a heart of serving You.
Lord, I pray that when I serve others I do it to glorify You and not myself.
Lord, I give thanks to You for what You've done on the cross.
Help me to become more like Jesus, to be Christ-like.
Thank You Lord,
In the name of Jesus.
Amen !

True Love leads to forgiveness

S :

Matthew 5:43-48 NASB

You have heard that it was said, 'You  shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'  But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,  so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.  For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?  If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?  Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
The Lord Jesus teaches that we must do all the real kindness we can to all, especially to their souls. We must pray for them. While many will render good for good, we must render good for evil; and this will speak a nobler principle than most men act by. Others salute their brethren, and embrace those of their own party, and way, and opinion, but we must not so confine our respect. It is the duty of Christians to desire, and aim at, and press towards perfection in grace and holiness. And there in we must study to conform ourselves to the example of our heavenly Father.

A :

I must not only love the ones closes to me, but to people who hates/dislike me.
For Jesus has taught me to love, because He first love me.

1 John 4:19 NASB
We love, because He first loved us.

Love will leads me to forgive others.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NASB
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,  does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

If I love God, I must not hate my brothers and enemies. For God teaches us to love thy enemies and thy neighbours.

1 John 4:20-21 NASB

If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.

I have to learn to forgive like what Jesus shown to us.
God forgive all our sins and still loves us.
We must also do the same to others,
Forgive those who persecute me, and love them back.

Colossians 3:12-13 NASB
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

Jesus has taught me many many things.
He had taught me the most important things in life is to love one another.
To be grateful for everything.
And we to count our blessing.

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
Lord I give You my heart, give You my soul, I live for You alone.
Every breath that I take,  every moment when I am awake, Lord have Your way in me.
Lord, help me to love others like You have love me.
Help me to forgive others like You have forgiven my sins.
I thank You for Your amazing love, for You sacrifice Your life for us to wash our sins away.
For Your love have shown me a true meaning in life.
You are my true love. That love never fails.
Father, I pray salvation for my family and friends,I don't want them to perish in hell but I want them to be with You Lord.
I love them Lord.
Have mercy on them.
I am so thankful for everything You have provided me.
In the name of Jesus,
I pray
Amen !

Do not judge, but love and care.

S :

Matthew 7:1-2 NASB

Do not judge so that you will not be judged.  For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
We must judge ourselves, and judge of our own acts, but not make our word a law to everybody. We must not judge rashly, nor pass judgment upon our brother without any ground. We must not make the worst of people.

We as human tends to judge people by their appearance.
And we should not do this.
There is a saying "Do not judge the book by its cover" .

When someone does something wrong or they show their ugly sight, we started to judge them.

We tend to love the ones who love and care for us. And we hate those who hates us.
We will judge those who hate us, and we start to back mouth them and judging them.
And we should not even do this.
For the Bible has written

Matthew 5:43-44 NASB
You have heard that it was said, 'You  shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'  But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

When you start to love them, we are unlikely to judge  because we can see the love between each other.
The love the God has given us.

A :

I should not judge others.
I should not condemn others.
I should not compare with others.

Only God can judge,
Only God can condemn,
I only can compare with Jesus Christ.

Because we as mankind is all the same.
Sinful, hateful in nature.
However, Jesus is pure in heart, clean, sinless and good. He is love. He is God. He is everything.

Every time If I start to judge others,  I must rebuke that thinking.
Pray to God for help, confess and repent.

First I have to judge myself and not others.
I will leave it to God to judge.
I have no rights to judge them.

Most importantly, I must love, pray and forgive the people who hurt me before.
When there's Jesus in me, I will not judge others.

I will always thank God for bringing friends for life.
Thank Him for everything that He done.

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You give renew my heart, and give me a loving heart. So that I can love my enemies.
Giving me a heart of forgiveness,  so that I can forgive and love those who had hurt me.
Instill me the heart like Jesus, so that people can see Jesus in me.
Lord, help me not to judge others but to love and care for them.
Thank You Lord for the love You have given me.
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !

Jesus my God

S :

Matthew 6:24 NASB
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
A man may do some service to two masters, but he can devote himself to the service of no more than one. God requires the whole heart, and will not share it with the world. When two masters oppose each other, no man can serve both. He who holds to the world and loves it, must despise God; he who loves God, must give up the friendship of the world.

A:

I must only serve one God wholeheartedly, my God, my Father who is in heaven.
Jesus is my God, my Saviour.

When I decided to follow Jesus, I have to give up the friendship of the world.
Giving up what the worldly things that the world offers.

Why did I want to follow Jesus and let go of the world ?
It is simple,
Jesus is Good, my light, my hope, my peace, my God, my saviour,  and He loves me.
World is evil, brings destruction to me.
In terms of money and so on.

I love Jesus.
I love that the fact that Jesus has died for me on the cross, it meant that I can come before Him with boldness.
Because when that veil is torn into two, it gives me this excess and gives me this moment,  this moment I live for, that his presence come and harvest and we can feel it.
I am just so thankful for Jesus for giving me mercy and grace, and more that
He wanted me, He loves to be with me.

And I will only serve Him, my God, my light and my saviour.
He died for me and no other god will die for me.
Only He is the one !

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
I thank You for everything You have done for me.
Thank You for the cross.
I am just thankful for Your everlasting love.
Nothing can separate me from Your love.
And I will only worship You in spirit and in the truth.
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !

Obedience, Love, Faith

S :

Matthew 5:19,20 NASB

Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
"For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
If a man, pretending to be Christ's disciple, encourages himself in any allowed disobedience to the holy law of God, or teaches others to do the same, whatever his station or reputation among men may be, he can be no true disciple.

Christ's righteousness, imputed to us by faith alone, is needed by every one that enters the kingdom of grace or of glory; but the new creation of the heart to holiness, produces a thorough change in a man's temper and conduct.

A :

I have to obey the commandments of God.
He gave me a set of rules and regulations that I must follow as a christian.
I must not teach people about the gospel if I broken one of God's commandments.

If I sin against God, I first have to confess and ask for forgiveness.
And repent, not to sin again.
Asking Jesus to wash my sins away using His precious blood.

God's commandments is given to us to follow.
When I follow and do His commandments,  I must do it with all my heart and not for the sake of doing.

I know sometimes it's hard for me to abide and follow His commandments.
I am still consist of my old sinful flesh.
However, Jesus is there for us.
Jesus is there to help us.
He died for us on the cross, to wash our sins away.
He died for us on the cross, His love has shown us the meaning of true love.

His have an ocean of grace.
He is forgiving.
But, I must not take Him for granted.

I will always put Jesus in the centre of my life, asking Him to lead me.
He is always my stirring wheel.
He will help me to obey and abide God's commandments.

If you love your parents, wouldn't you listen to them?
And try not to hurt them.

In the similar way, if you love God, wouldn't you listen and obey His commandments?

Obedience towards God is another step of Faith.
Because if you trust Him and knows that He is always right, wouldn't you follow and obey His commandments?

Most importantly, God loves us all.
We are His beloved children.
He would not want us to perish.
He want us, He want to be with us.

Questions to ponder :
Are we willing to let God to guide us?
Are we willing to listen and obey to God?
Are we too focus on the world?
Do we tend to give up easily because it is too hard/tedious/troublesome to follow God ?
Did we even seek God for help first?

P :
Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You will help me to obey your commandments with all my heart.
Because I love you and I want to be with you for eternity.
Lord, help me in every area of my life.
Be the centre of my life.
Show me, guide me, lead me. . .
I am just so thankful for Jesus for the price He paid on the cross, the price He paid for our sins and His mercy and grace.
I am just so thankful.
Thank You Jesus,
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN

Obey, obedience towards God

S :

Matthew 7:21-23 NASB

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.  Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'  And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me , you who practice lawlessness .'

O :

[ Extracted from vic bulletin ]
This seventh chapter is to remind the Christian that he should live conscious that he will stand before God one day to give an account of what she has done with her life.

A :

This verse tells me that not every Christians who believes in Jesus will go to heaven.
Only those who obeyed and do the words of God will enter the kingdom of heaven.

Thus, I need to build a strong foundation with God, a unshakable foundation.
So in the days to come, I will not fall but standing with God firmly, rooted deep to the heart of Christ.

How do I build a strong unshakeable foundation in Christ?

1) Read the Bible, the Word of God.
2) Obey God.
3) Do the Word of God.
4) Pray to God for help.
5) Read, Obey, Do and Pray with all your heart.

Matthew 7:24-27 NASB

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.  The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell-and great was its fall."

I want to be like the wise man, who obey and do the Word of God.

I must always keep in mind the God will be with me, even His commandments are hard to obey.
I will always pray for help to follow His commandments.
I love Him, and  I will obey Him whole hearty.

When the world starts to become messy and chaos, I am still able to stand firm with Him.
And will and always do the word of God.
I will always pray to be lead by the Holy Spirit.

Ask and ask for help.

Matthew 7:7-8 NASB
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

When I seek, thirst and hunger for His righteousness, I will able to do the Word of God.
So, I will always seek and knock on His door looking for Him.

Next,  I must be obedience.
Open my listening ear, and open my eyes.
Read and obey the word of God.

I have to always thank Him for what He had done for me.

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You will always help me to build a strong unshakeable foundation with You.
Through Christ, I can do all things to glorify You.
With Your love, I am able to spread the gospel and spread love to the world.
With Your precious blood, You cleanse my sins away, making my heart pure and Innocents
With Your word, I obey and do it with my heart.
With Your Holy Spirit,  You guide me through this stormy oceans.
And I know that You will always be there for me, no matter what happens.
Thank You Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit.
In the name of Jesus, I pray
Amen !

Worries, anxiety

S :

Whole chapter of Matthew 6

Matthew 6:25, 30, 33, 34 NASB

"For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
Be not anxious for the future, how you shall live next year, or when you are old, or what you shall leave behind you. As we must not boast of tomorrow, so we must not care for to-morrow, or the events of it. God has given us life, and has given us the body.
Take no thought for your life. Not about the length of it; but refer it to God to lengthen or shorten it as he pleases; our times are in his hand, and they are in a good hand. Not about the comforts of this life; but leave it to God to make it bitter or sweet as he pleases.

A :

Matthew 6:33 is a very good verse to mediates for my Christian life.

Matthew 6:33 NASB
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

I first have to seek Him, His kingdom, His righteousness and every other things will  will be added to me.

Seek for His righteousness.
Hunger and thirst for His righteousness.

Matthew 5:6 NASB
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

I should seek what God wants for me and not to seek what the world wants.

I do not have to worried for tomorrow or the days to come.
For I am in good hands of my Father in heaven.

I am already blessed since the Jesus has died for us, over two thousand years ago.
And Jesus said ' it is finished ' .
He has blessed us all .

In Matthew chapter 5: 3-12
Is the Beatitudes,
It says that we are already blessed.
God has blessed us all.

Why worry?
I am already blessed long time ago.
I just have to lean on Him, because God is my 100%.
Jesus is my light, my hope, my faith and my everything.
Our Father has implanted good things in my life already, why should I worry about so many things?

Every time I have to tell myself :
" I'm in good hands, God has implanted good things in me and I will Rejoice! "

I have to always always thank Him for His blessing.
Thank Him for what He had done for us.

God loves us all because we are His beloved Child.
He would not forsake us !

Always seek Him first
Seek His kingdom
Seek His righteousness.
Everything will be added to you.

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You will help me to lean on You always not with my mind but my heart.
Help me not to worry about everything, but put focus on You. Focus on Jesus.
Help me to seek You first.
Thank You for Your blessing that You have given me.
Thank You for what You have done on the cross.
Thank You for the people You have added in my life.
Thank You for everything !
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !

Beatitudes

S :

Whole chapter of Matthew 5.

Beatitudes

Matthew 5:3-12 NASB

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.    Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.  Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

O :

Matthew 5:3-12 is the Beatitudes which describe the character and Characteristics of Christians.

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]
Our Saviour here gives eight characters of blessed people, which represent to us the principal graces of a Christian.

A :

I have to be like these eight characters to be a true Christians.
It is because it describe the character and Characteristics of Christians.
That is what God wants us to be.
I have to follow the principal of these characteristic of Christians in these passage.

First, the word translated “blessed” is one that has the general meaning of “happy” or “joyful.” It is a spiritual blessedness, a divine satisfaction that comes from a right relationship with God.

Verse 3
When Jesus says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of He is declaring that, before we ca heaven,” n enter God’s kingdom, we must recognize the utter worthlessness of our own spiritual currency and the inability of our own works to save us.

1) I must recognize my spiritual poverty before I can come to God in faith to receive the salvation He offers.

Verse 4
The term mournmeans “to experience deep grief.” In keeping with His theme of spiritual blessedness, Jesus seems to indicate that this mourning is due to grief over sin.
Those who learn to mourn over their own sin find the heart of God. And intimate fellowship with God is the very foundation of true happiness.

2) I have to confess, Repent and ask for forgiveness.
So that Jesus can wash my sins away using His blood.
Then I can have an intimate fellowship with God.

Verse 5
Meekness is humility toward God and toward others. It is having the right power to do something but refraining for the benefit of someone else.
Meekness models the humility of Jesus Christ.

3) I have to be humble and gentle.
I must humble before the Lord.
At the same way, I must also be humble towards people.
Because Jesus model humility towards us.

Verse 6
We need to be hungry and thirst for righteousness.
Thirst for God and hungry for Him

4) I always must have a spiritual hunger for Him.
And really thirst for righteousness.

Verse 7
To be merciful is to show forgiveness and compassion to those in need. Jesus frequently spoke of this trait.
We are blessed if we are merciful because mercy is something God Himself displays.

5) I must be merciful towards people.
Forgive those who have hurt us and love them back.
I have to show compassion to those who are in need.
I have to how the love and care towards people.

Verse 8
Pure in heart means to be clean, blameless, unstained from guilt.
Being pure in heart involves having a singleness of heart toward God. A pure heart has no hypocrisy, no guile, no hidden motives. The pure heart is marked by transparency and an uncompromising desire to please God in all things. It is more than an external purity of behavior; it is an internal purity of soul.

6) I have to have a pure, clean heart.
God sees our heart.
If my heart is dirty, hurt, and etc
I have to ask God to heal them and cleanse my heart.
I will always ask God to help to build a pure and innocent heart that He wants.

Verse 9
Jesus laid down His life to make peace between God and sinners, and when we can carry that message of peace to others, we are peacemakers.
Only children of God can bring the peace of knowing God to others.
Those who bring the wonderful message of God's peace to the world are "peacemakers," and Jesus calls them the "children of God."

7) I have the spread the Gospel.
Bringing peace to the world.
Jesus is peace and I am a peacemaker.
I am child of God.
I will bring peace to the world.

Verse 10 and 11
There is nothing in our sufferings that can merit of God; but God will provide that those who lose for him, though life itself, shall not lose by him in the end.
Blessed Jesus! how different are thy maxims from those of men of this world! They call the proud happy, and admire the gay, the rich, the powerful, and the victorious. May we find mercy from the Lord; may we be owned as his children, and inherit his kingdom. With these enjoyments and hopes, we may cheerfully welcome low or painful circumstances.

8) I must not be afraid to share the gospel and the word of God.
God make me brave, no fear can handle.
I must not be afraid of people, for I have to be afraid of God and nothing.
I know God will provide me to fight for His righteousness.
I am child of God and I will inherit His kingdom.

P :
Dear heavenly Father,
I thank You for showing me what true Christians are to be.
Father I pray that You will help me to be like the characters and Characteristics of the Beatitudes.
Thank You for Your blessing that You have given me.
Holy Spirit come and dwell in heart and make it clean.
Father I will always fight for Your righteousness.
But, You have to help me In many areas.
Help me to be like Jesus.
I am always Your beloved child who will always cry for You.
Running towards You with a pure innocent heart.
Your beloved child always.
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !

God is Light, My Light

1 John 1:5, 7 NASB
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Psalms 27:1 NASB
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?

God is Light.
God is my Light.

Darkness is the absence of light.

If the world is absence of light , the world will be full of darkness and chaos.

But Jesus has came down for us and died for our sins.
He brought light to the world.

The darkness(evil) cannot separate us from God our light.
Because there is Jesus in me, in my heart. My heart is full of light.

A light the shines brightly, where there will be no darkness in me.

Learning to be like Jesus, Christ like

S :

Matthew 4:23-25 NASB

Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.   The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them. Large crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.

O :

What were the three aspects of Jesus's ministry in this passage ?

1) Teaching
2) Proclaiming the gospel of Kingdom
3) Healing of diseases and sickness

[ Bible Hub ]

Wherever Christ went, He confirmed His Divine mission by miracles, which were emblems of the healing power of His doctrine, and the influences of the Spirit which accompanied it.

A :

As I follow Jesus,  I will learn the way He teach, proclaim the gospel of Kingdom and heals the people.
Jesus is both the church and the Christian.

How do I follow what Jesus do?

1) Read the Bible.
The words Jesus has spoken,
the actions Jesus had done are all in the Bible.
When we read the Bible  we will able to understand what Jesus say and do.
So that we can follow His way.

2) Pray
Pray for guidance to be more like Jesus.
A heart like Jesus.
Christ like.

3) Do the works of Christ
Teach people the word of God.
Sharing testimony.
Healing the sick.
Praying for people.
And to bring the Kingdom of heaven down to earth.
Reveal who is Jesus,
Proclaiming the Kingdom of Heaven.

When I face any problem,
I will ask myself what would Jesus do? In this situation.
So that I will follow what Jesus do, when He face problem like this.
Jesus is the right way because He is Holy and Good.
That's why I want to follow the steps that Jesus go.

P :

Dear heavenly Father ,
Thank You for showing me a good example of Jesus Chirst, so that I can follow His footsteps.
I have learn many things from Jesus through the Bible and people.
Help me to be like Jesus with a Christ like heart.
Make it soft and tender.
Help me to overcome stage fright so that I am able to preach and share testimony of You to glorify You.
Instill me Your healing power so that I am able to heal the sick.
Help me equipped with You words through the Bible so that I am able to proclaim the kingdom of heaven in Your way.
All I have to say is to thank you for everything.
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN

We are called to be fishers of men !

S :

Matthew 4:19 NASB
And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

O :

This tells us that Jesus wants to make many disciple of Christ through Him and then through His disciples.

What does the Lord's invitation, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." ?

God wants and invites us to be His fishers of men, a soul winner.
He want us to follow Him, bringing and saving souls for Him.
He wants us to be like Jesus Christ.

What does it mean to everyone who is Christian?

It means that everyone who is Christian, who are beloved child of God are fishers of men.
We are disciples of Jesus Christ.
We are to follow Jesus Christ steps.
It is calling for us to play an important role for God.
To bring more people to Christ.
To bring salvation to people.
To heal people.
Most importantly, bringing kingdom of heaven down to earth. Bringing Jesus Christ through us, so that people can see Jesus in us.

The invitation to follow Jesus is given to us now, to everyone who believes in Him. It is a call to be like Him; a call of identity with the sufferings of victims of sin; a call to overcome the temptations of devil and the world; a call finally to minister to the poor and needy in our midst.
It is a call to make our one life in this world count both here and in the hereafter, both on earth and in eternity.

A :

What does it mean to me?

It is God's calling for me to be His beloved child, His disciple and His fishers of men.
I am the first to become a Christian in my family,
I think He wants me to be fishers of men for my family and friends.
He wants me to give an image of Jesus Christ through me, so my family and friends can see Christ through me.

How do I become a fisher of men?

I am already fisher of men, I am a fisher of men BECAUSE I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

How do I become a better fisher of men?
That's the question that speaks to me.

1) Praying, asking for guidance and salvation.

2) A consistently of reading the Bible.
So I can be equipped with word of God    to bring souls to Christ.

3) The work of The Holy Spirit.
Always ask The Holy Spirit to help us.

4) Gather together with other disciples

5) I will ask myself :
What would Jesus do ?
What would Jesus do to make many disciples ?

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
I pray for salvation for my family and friends.
Come, Holy Spirit
Help me to be equipped with Your words so that I can bring many souls to You.
Help me to be like Jesus Christ who make many many disciples of Him.
Help me when times are hard, and always help me to tell myself
" What would Jesus do" .
Thank You Lord,
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !

Surrender everything to Jesus

S :

Matthew 4:18-19 NASB
Now as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

O :

[ Extracted from Bible Hub ]

When Jesus Christ began to preach, He began to gather disciples, who should be hearers, and afterwards preachers of His doctrine, who should be witnesses of His miracles, and afterwards testify concerning them.

A :

What was it that cause these fishermen to drop everything, to leave their families,  their work, their own plans to follow Jesus?

Or let me rephrase the question,

What has caused you to drop everything and go somewhere,
to do something that seems at first to be reckless and irresponsible?
Or even foolish?

For me,
I saw His love. And I know He is God.
He is powerful. And that love for us, He sacrificed His human life for us.
What an amazing love He had showed
me !
So I decided to follow Jesus, and no turning back.

I got baptized recently this year 8 March 2014 .
I did not even told my father that I go to church every Sunday and just got baptized.
P.S my father is a Taois medium.
If i have told my father he would killed
me. I'm the first one to be a Christian,
a follower of Jesus.

I know it seems at first to be reckless and irresponsible but God showed me that Love can bring my family together.
I have been praying for my family who are not Christians, praying for their spiritual eyes to be open and praying for their salvation.

When I decided to follow Jesus,
I have to surrender everything to Him
My dreams, hopes, troubles, future and worries to Him. In fact,  everything to Him.
I told myself not to walk back to the old path I used to be but to walk the path towards Christ, the path God wants me to Go.

P :
Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You will help my family.
Open their veil and let them see that You're the only true God.
I pray salvation for them.
Father, I really want to thank You for allowing the Holy Spirit and Jesus to work in my life.
Thank You for Your amazing love for me.
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN!

Change of mind, Change of Heart

S :

Matthew 4:17 NASB
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

O :

[ Extracted from vic bulletin ]

Note in this verse the sense that His message of repentance was a continuing one. "From that time, Jesus began to preach and to say, " Repent.  . ."

Repentance was a constant refrain of what He called men to do.
"Repent" or change your mind.

Change your mind about :
How you look yourself
How you look at God
How you look at others.

You can change your mind because the kingdom or the kingship of God has broken through.

You are no longer bond by the lies of the devil or the world or your own thinking.
You are set free now to know who God is and what He is doing in your life.

A :

God has given a Christ like in me when I accepted Jesus in my life.
When I'm baptised God also given me another new nature.
He implanted a clean, pure and righteousness heart.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit dwelling in my heart. The Christ like heart.
It's the heart that control my mind.
I can change my mind because there is Jesus in me, in my heart.
Change my mind to be like Him, my saviour.

God has given a new nature to repent.
I change my mind because my heart desire to be with God.
Thus, I will walk the path that God wants me to go and walk away from sin.
To repent is the constant calling from God, asking me to always to repent.

I always have to say YES to Him and NO to my wrong desire.

I have to constantly tell myself that
1) I am child of God, son of God.
This way when I look at myself,
I know that I am precious and unique to God's eye.

2) When I look at God,
He is my Heavenly Father, provider, saviour, comforter, peace, love . . .
That He will always be there for me.
And lean on Him always.

3) When I look at others,
That they are my brothers and sisters in Christ.
That I need to pray for those unbelievers for salvation.
Not to judge others, but love and care for them.

Christ has set me free, I no longer bound to the lies of the devil.
In Christ alone, I am free.

I am affirm that God is always doing something awesome in my life.
I really have to thank Him for what He had done.

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
Thank You for the new heart that you gave me.
Thank You for what You have done in my life.
Thank You Jesus for what You have done on the cross for me.
Lord, help me to change my mind to be like You. A Christ like thinking.
Holy Spirit come and dwell in my heart always, make it clean, pure, soft and tender.
Thank You Father.
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN!

Confess, Repent, Forgiveness

S :

Matthew 4:17 NASB
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

O :

This was Jesus first preaching.
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

A :

The message that Jesus preach tells me that I must repent for my sins and ask for forgiveness.
It leads the sinner like me to flee from the wrath to come, to look for relief only from above, and eagerly to fall in with the provided remedy.

What is repentance ?

1) Aware the sin in your life
2) Deep sense of remorse and feel like you are lost. No hope for me
3) Confessions and realizing
4) willingness to turn back to God and walk with God.
5) A heart to transform, through Jesus.
He take our sins away and able us to worship God.

Repentance means to turn from sin with a heartfelt desire to change and not do it again.

1) If I've sinned against God I must confess, ask for forgiveness and repent.
2) know that I've been forgiven and must never dwell in the past, move on.
3) I must never do it again, if the sins starts to kicks in, ask the Holy Spirit for help.
4) I must never take God's grace/forgiveness for granted.
5) Pray, Pray, Pray.

Repent
Believe
Come after Him

Acts 19:4-6 NASB
Paul said, "John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus." When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

P :

Dear heavenly Father,
I pray that You will help me with my temptation and sins.
Stop them from coming.
Help me when temptation and sins starts to kick in.
Father, I repent for what I've sin against You.
Forgive my sins.
I am willing but please help my unwillingness.
I really need You in the season.
Thank You Jesus for what You've done on the cross.
In the name of Jesus,
AMEN !
